Good Morning!
This is our first week on the new site and I am thrilled to be able to share our weekly menu with you. This is is the last really tight budget week at our house, so we’ll be eating some very simple dishes that I can make with ingredients I have on hand. My grocery budget this week is only about $30 for meals and lunches, so I’ll need to do some careful planning.
It’s been a good experience to see how little I can get by with while still providing healthy and filling meals for our family. Not every day has been great, but I am happy to say that we only fell off the wagon and hit the drive thru once last week. (For those that don’t remember, Scott and I challenged each other to avoid eating out for the month of January.)
Here’s what we plan to eat this week:
Scrambled Eggs, Bananas, Applesauce, English Muffins
Taco Soup, Breadsticks
Baked Potato Bar with Broccoli, Cheese, Bacon
Black Beans, Rice, Undecided Veggie
Venison Steak (if I get brave), Pasta with Spinach
Hamburger Helper, (it’s still better than drive thru food) Peas
