Recipe For A Simple Life

Simplify your life, one day at a time

CVS Run 10-22-2012

on October 22, 2012

In the last few weeks, I’ve tried to only buy things at CVS that we will need (or eventually need before they expire) that come with EBCs, in order to maximize my savings.

This week, I decided it was time to stock up on toilet paper.  Scott’s 1000 sheet is by far the best value for your money.  We have 4 little ones, so we don’t like to have the really nice tripleply toilet paper as they just clog the toilet with it.  So, until they all know how to appropriately use toilet paper, I’ll stick with el cheapo 🙂

I bought…

4 Scott’s 12-roll packages $7.49 each (regularly $11.49)

2 CVS brand Cold and Allergy (we use this for ear infections!) B1G1 50% off $8.79 & $4.39

1 Advil Chewables

Used $10 EBC from last week

Used $10/$50 purchase printed on my receipt last week

Used 4 – $1 off Scott’s peelies

Used $3/$10 off CVS Cold and Allergy products

(wanted to use $3 off Advil coupon that printed, but their computer said it’s the same coupon as the $3/$10, which it didn’t say $3/$10 purchse of Advil, but I wasn’t going to argue, we needed it anyways)

Used 25% off CVS coupon saving $1.22

Total $20.91 + tax

Received $10 EBC

Not bad for 4 big packages of toilet paper and OTC medicines!
