Physically Fit Friday

Ok, it’s weigh in time.  I lost 2 pounds 😀  No pics this week, I’ve decided to take them for you the first Friday of the month.  So I’ll take one next week.

I have to be honest.  I haven’t been digging working out the last couple of days.  But I made myself go, even if it was just for 20 minutes.  Normally my routine, including stretching, takes over 35.  And I need to remember to bring a water bottle.  Nothing makes me not want to work out like being thirsty does.

Who else has started to change their physical self?  I’d love to hear your story – why you started, how you’ve changed your meals, when you get your workouts in, etc.

Financially Fit Friday

Have you started a money makeover? What are you planning on paying CASH for? What bill are you paying off? Share a bit of your story! No story is too small to share! Real life stories keep Sister C motivated 😀

Emergency Fund – $600.91
  • We found out last week that our temporary health insurance ends this week.  I thought we had it for a few more months.  I tell ya, my brain is on overload recently, it doesn’t surprise me that I didn’t have that written down somewhere.  So I took out roughly $400 to help pay for our new “insurance.”  I have that in quotations and will explain that at a later date.  I cannot begin to tell you how important having just a $1000 put aside that I’m unable to have access to with a debit card or check.  It makes you think twice before spending it.  We haven’t had to touch it since I think February when Dad passed away.  I’m so thankful we have only had to touch it this one time since then, and I pray we don’t have to touch it again for quite some time.

Best Buy Credit Card – IS NOW PAID IN FULL lol  I have the slip that says the balance, and I paid that yesterday.  😀

Credit Card Beginning Balance 4/29/11 – $6031.08

  • Deposited $2.91 in spare change
  • Deposited $2.89 from Keebler Cookies rebate
  • Deposited $3.50 from Diamond rebate
  • Deposited $584 from leftover tips and paychecks
  • Deposited $50 from winning a work contest
  • Current Balance – $2690.99
    • Goal is to have this loan paid off before Halloween – October 31, 2011!
      • We may have to push this back to Thanksgiving time, as we ended up paying off the other credit card after starting to pay this one off, but I’m not willing to change the date quite yet. I’m still pursuing this date!
Make sure to come back next week and read up on how the Z Family began this whole journey three years ago, for the second  and last time.  I will bear all – in hopes that our story will inspire you to become debt free.  I’ll post everything – the balances we began with, and to put it into perspective, I’ll share roughly what our income was at that time in order to show you that no matter how much or little you make, you can also begin your journey to a better life!

Super Points

One way Sister C earns gift cards to help pay for Christmas is by playing Super Points.  It’s super easy, and kind of boring, so I either click the Lucky Button while I’m watching TV, or have my kids play for me lol

You can only get an account with Super Points if you are referred, so below are some of my referral links.  If you are a member of Super Points, feel free to add your referral links in the comments.  Those of you that are new to Super Points can pick who you want to be referred by 😀  When you win Super Points, so does the person who referred you if you are at least a Gold Member – which is very easy to attain.  Make sure to update your profile so you reach the Basic Level and you’ll earn more clicks for the Lucky Button.

This link is worth a bonus 50 Points and is only good for the first person to click on it and register.

The following I think you get a bonus 25 points, at least that’s what I remember them being.  But I could be wrong.  Maybe I just get a bonus 25 points if you use them.  I don’t know.  Use at your own risk lol  jk.

Good Luck 😀

If that link has been used, then here’s a few more to sign up under.  I’ll do my best to watch for the ones being used and replace them with new ones.

I Wonder………

I wonder – Where do I find coupons?

One main source of coupons is the Sunday paper.  Most major Sunday papers have coupon inserts.  In my area, I buy the local paper so I can read the news, plus 2 copies of another major newspaper for the coupons.

If you don’t get the papers on Sunday, however, there are other ways to get coupons.

One way is from the major coupon sites that offer printables, such as www.coupons.com, www.redplum.com, and www.smartsource.com.  You can also check for coupons for specific items on many sites that offer a coupon database.  A number of products will also have Facebook pages or websites that offer coupons from time to time.  I generally make my weekly list and then check out a database for any coupons I don’t already have.

Another way is to pick up coupons while you shop.  Keep your eyes open in the stores and look for peelies or blinkies, coupons that are on store shelves on tear pads or in little blinking dispensers.  Some products also have peel off coupons right on them.

Finally, if you know anyone who gets the paper, ask them if they use their coupons.  I sometimes get coupons from family and friends simply because I’ve told them I use them.

I’d love to hear from you too – Where do you find your coupons?

Transformation Tuesday

This week begins a new challenge.  While I am still trying to watch what I eat and count calories, this week I need to begin exercising.  It makes me tired just to write the word, but I know it needs to be done if I want to continue to make progress.  So, I will set small goals and build up a little each week.  This week my goal will be to walk for 20 minutes per day, or the equivalent, for a total of 140 minutes this week.  It sounds easy, but I have a feeling it will be harder than I think.  Does anyone want to take a virtual walk with me?

Not sure what to cook? Head on over to your Mankato Applebee’s for $5 burgers, wings and pitchers of beer! No where near Mankato, head on over HERE to get the number to the Applebee’s nearest to you, and give them a call to see what their specials are tonight.

Also go like Applebee’s Mankato on Facebook 😀
